A glorious afternoon in Perth enjoying the sounds of the pipe band.
Tyndrum Lodges is situated at the gateway to the mysterious and magnificent Rannoch Moor, with its statuesque mountains and breathtaking scenery whatever the weather. Hiking, climbing and skiing are all easily accessible from our accommodation.
Although visibility wasn’t perfect, this pair had a great day climbing Ben Doran – the prominent dome shaped Munro above the viaduct, just out of Tyndrum on the way to Glencoe. Sore legs for a couple of days after this one!
Make sure you sample some of the delights from the many whisky distilleries Scotland has to offer. Relatively close to Tyndrum are Oban, The Famous Grouse, Ben Nevis and Tobermory to name but a few. This handsome chap has obviously hit the jackpot!
Our central location makes it easy to access both the highlands and west coast of Scotland, as well as the central belt. Head to Oban and take a Calmac ferry to the islands, or head north through Glencoe to Fort William and then on to the beautiful city of Inverness.
Tyndrum Lodges opens it’s doors at the beginning of October. Modern, comfortable en-suite rooms have been completely refurbished, and the newly built reception/breakfast building completes the picture. Surrounded by stunning mountain scenery, Tyndrum Lodges provides an ideal base to explore Scotland.
